  • Heterogeneity in the developmental trajectories of college adjustment among Chinese college freshmen: Identifying predictors and outcomes

Open Access•Youguo LIAO, Jianwen Chen et al.•ARTICLE•Current Psychology•2026

  • Global, regional, and national burden of Dalys attributable to occupational risks, 1990–2021: Trends and projections to 2030

Open Access•Xumin Zong, Huai Hu et al.•ARTICLE•Social Science & Medicine•2026

  • Predicting the word frequency effect in naturalistic Chinese reading: A multilevel analysis of brain function and gene expression

Open Access•Yuanyuan Gao, Xiangwen Chen et al.•ARTICLE•Brain and Language•2026

  • Exploring effects of foveal load and preview restrictions for single and multiple parafoveal words in Chinese reading

Open Access•Manman Zhang, Zhichao Zhang et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Memory and Language•2026

Foveal load reduces disruptive influence of restrictive parafoveal windows. • Similar but reduced foveal load modulatory effects for multiple than single words. • Foveal load reduces preview extent for multiple but not single lexical units. Two experiments are reported that used the boundary paradigm to investigate how foveal lexical processing load (high/low frequency) of a pre-target word influences parafoveal processing of upcoming target word…

  • The effect of cognitive load and time stress on prospective memory and its components

Open Access•Jinhui Hu, Cong Xin et al.•ARTICLE•Current Psychology•2024

  • Examining pre‐service teachers' teaching anxiety during student teaching: A Chinese perspective

Open Access•Narentuya Ao, Manman Zhang et al.•ARTICLE•European Journal of Education•2024

To better understand pre‐service teachers' teaching anxiety in specific cultural contexts and promote their overall anticipatory socialisation process, this study investigated the level, dimensions and causality of Chinese pre‐service teachers' teaching anxiety during student teaching. We conducted a survey of 426 Chinese pre‐service teachers who were at the end of their bachelor or master programmes to become primary or secondary school teachers…

  • The effect of emotional target and context on the aftereffects of prospective memory

Open Access•Cong Xin, Youzhen CHEN et al.•ARTICLE•Current Psychology•2023

  • Examining semantic parafoveal-on-foveal effects using a Stroop boundary paradigm

Open Access•Chuanli Zang, Zhichao Zhang et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Memory and Language•2023

The issue of whether lexical processing occurs serially or in parallel has been a central and contentious issue in respect of models of eye movement control in reading for well over a decade. A critical question in this regard concerns whether lexical parafoveal-on-foveal effects exist in reading. Because Chinese is an unspaced and densely packed language, readers may process parafoveal words to a greater extent than they do in spaced alphabetic …

  • The effect of lexical predictability on word processing in fast and slow readers during Chinese reading

Manman Zhang, Huilan HU et al.•ARTICLE•Acta Psychologica Sinica•2023

Open Access•Yuxuan Huang, Yu-Xuan Huang et al.•ARTICLE•Frontiers in Public Health•2022

COVID-19, referred to as new coronary pneumonia, is an acute infectious disease caused by a new type of coronavirus SARS-CoV-2. To evaluate the effect of integrated Chinese medicine and Western medicine in patients with COVID-19 from overseas. Data were collected from 178 COVID-19 patients overseas at First Affiliated Hospital of Xiamen University from April 1, 2021 to July 31, 2021. These patients received therapy of integrated Chinese medicine …

  • Cognitive load and encoding methods affect prospective memory and its components in low achieving pupils in math

Youzhen CHEN, Manman Zhang et al.•ARTICLE•Acta Psychologica Sinica•2022

  • Parafoveal processing of word class information in Chinese reading

Zijia LU, Ying Fu et al.•ARTICLE•Acta Psychologica Sinica•2022

    摘要

  • Effects of sentence structure and type of control verb on thematic role assignment: Evidence from eye movements

Fang Li, Xin Li et al.•ARTICLE•Acta Psychologica Sinica•2021

Thematic role assignment refers to the on-line processing of assigning semantic roles, such as assigning agents or patients, to arguments (i.e., nouns) related to the verb. Linguistic information provided by arguments (e.g., word order, or case marking), as well as lexical argument representation of the verb is used for assigning thematic roles. The Extended Argument Dependency Model (eADM) suggests that argument cues utilized to assign semantic …
