The primary pathogenic microorganisms found in the respiratory tract of patients with CF in Peru were the same as those found in other countries. This study is the first to perform 16S rRNA sequencing as well as MALDI-TOF and MALDI-TOF/TOF analysis of the bacterial pathogens circulating in Peru.
