  • Whole-Body Mri-Based Assessment of Adipose Tissue: Recommendations for Data Acquisition and Processing

Open Access•Veronika Kováčová, Martin Čuta et al.•ARTICLE•Anthropologie•2023

  • Studying factors influencing facial developmental instability

Open Access•Marie Jandová, Petra Urbanová•ARTICLE•Annals of Human Biology•2021

We can conclude that facial morphology was shown to be strongly integrated, particularly until adolescence. This covariation can facilitate an increase of FA. In addition, the results of this study indicate there is a weak association between socioeconomic stress and facial asymmetries. In contrast, sex and growth rate are reflected in developmental instability

  • Sexual dimorphism in human facial expressions by 3D surface processing

    Open Access•Marie Jandová, Petra Urbanová•ARTICLE•HOMO•2018

  • Introducing the Fidentis 3D Face Database

Open Access•Petra Urbanová, Zuzana Ferková et al.•ARTICLE•Anthropological Review•2018

Face databases have assumed an important role in a variety of clinical and applied research domains. However, the number of datasets accessible to the scientific community is limited and the knowledge of their existence may be concealed from a wider range of specialists. In the present paper we introduce a sizeable dataset of 3D facial scans – FIDENTIS 3D Face Database (F3D-FD or FIDENTIS Database), which is accompanied by basic demographic and d…

  • The relationship between facial morphology, body measurements and socio-economic factors

    Open Access•Marie Jandová, Petra Urbanová•ARTICLE•Anthropological Review•2016

Background and aim: The effect of socio-economic factors (living conditions) and parental smoking habits on development of facial morphology and body measurements was studied on a longitudinal Czech sample of 25 girls and 25 boys. Subjects and methods: A set of studied digitalized photographs taken from 0.5 to 18 years in intervals of 6 months originated in the Brno Longitudinal Study. Facial shape changes of sub-adult participants were described…
