  • Characterizing non-fatal overdose among people who inject drugs in India: Prevalence and risk factor analysis, 2022-2024

    Open Access•Mihili P Gunaratne, Talia A Loeb et al.•ARTICLE•International Journal of Drug…•2026

We observed a variable burden of non-fatal overdose associated with high injection frequency, combination drug use, alcohol use, attending medical detoxification, and depressive symptoms. From January 2017 to May 2018, cross-sectional data were captured at screening for entry …

  • People who inject drugs and men who have sex with men living with HIV in India experience low probability of viral rebound and high levels of persistent viremia during the first 12 months of antiretro…

    Talia A Loeb, Sunil S Solomon et al.•ARTICLE•AIDS Care•2025

People who inject drugs (PWID) and men who have sex with men (MSM) in India are disproportionately affected by HIV and experience challenges achieving sustained viral suppression. We evaluated probabilities of suppression over time and characteristics associated with persistent viremia and viral rebound among MSM and PWID living with HIV (PLHIV) using 12 months of data collected between 2017-2019 from a cluster-randomized trial across 16 cities i…

  • HIV Knowledge, Information Sources, and Perceived Risk among Reproductive-Aged Individuals in Kisumu, Kenya: A Latent Profile Analysis

Open Access•Talia A Loeb, Kate Willis et al.•ARTICLE•AIDS and Behavior•2025

  • Experiences of Disclosure, Resilience and Viral Suppression among People Living with HIV in Ghana

Open Access•Mary Anne Roach, Talia A Loeb et al.•ARTICLE•AIDS and Behavior•2025

  • Access to healthcare among transgender women living with and without HIV in the United States: Associations with gender minority stress and resilience factors

    Open Access•Talia A Loeb, Sarah M Murray et al.•ARTICLE•BMC Public Health•2024

Gender minority stress was associated with increased barriers to healthcare access among TW in the US, regardless of HIV status. Resilience factors did not mediate this effect. Interventions aiming to increase healthcare access among TW can be aided by efforts to mitigate drivers of gender minority stress and improve patient experiences in healthcare facilities
