  • Acute pain modulates personal and vicarious reward processing

Peihan LIU, Weiwei Peng et al.•ARTICLE•Acta Psychologica Sinica•2026

  • Exploring the underlying mechanism of the relation between trait mindfulness and insomnia among university students

Open Access•Yanhui Mao, Yiyan Li et al.•ARTICLE•BMC Public Health•2026

University students experience insomnia at rates higher than those of other age groups, creating significant challenges to their physical and mental health, as well as their academic achievements. While recent research has highlighted the potential of mindfulness to improve sleep quality, the mechanisms through which mindfulness alleviates insomnia remained understudied. Pain catastrophizing has been identified as a mediating factor in this relat…

  • Linking interpretation bias to individual differences in pain sensitivity

  • Autistic traits influence pain empathy

Wenyun ZHANG, Shiwei ZHUO et al.•ARTICLE•Acta Psychologica Sinica•2023

  • Abnormalities in pain sensitivity among individuals with autism spectrum disorder

Wenyun ZHANG, Xiaoyun Li et al.•ARTICLE•Acta Psychologica Sinica•2021

Pain is defined as an unpleasant sensory and emotional experience associated with, or resembling that associated with, actual or potential tissue damage. Pain is of vital functional significance, as it signals threat and initiates behavioral adaptations to avoid harm so as to protect the body. Previous studies have shown abnormalities in pain sensitivity among individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), which have been associated with their …

  • Individual Variation in Pain Sensitivity and Implicit Negative Bias Toward Pain

Qian Ye, Xiaoyun Li et al.•ARTICLE•Psychosomatic Medicine•2020

OBJECTIVE: Although previous studies have shown the linkage between pain sensitivity and pain-related cognitions, this study investigated whether individual variation in pain sensitivity is related to implicit negative bias toward pain. METHODS: Two groups of participants with low (LPS) or high (HPS) pain sensitivity (LPS group: n = 33; HPS group: n = 31) were recruited based on their scores on pain sensitivity questionnaires. This categorization…
