The Literacy Needs of Adolescents in Their Own Words
By featuring the stories of seven students, the authors of this article hope to prompt administrators and teachers to examine the literacy instruction in their schools and make practical changes to meet adolescents' needs. Assessing Adolescents' Motivation to Read
A team of researchers revised the Motivation to Read Profile for use with adolescents. Instruments to assess adolescents' in‐ and out‐of‐school reading motivations were administered.
