A comparative study of time perception in long-term meditators and non-meditators
This study investigates how mindfulness meditation influences time perception by comparing practicing meditators and non-meditators (n = 30) on retrospective and prospective timing tasks. Retrospective time perception was assessed after an 11-min session of Naad Brahma meditation (for meditators) or listening to an audio story (for controls). Prospective time estimation was measured using rhythmically ambiguous music, with participants indicating…
Digital companionship
This study examines the relationship between Conversational Artificial Intelligence (CAI) usage and psychological outcomes-social anxiety, loneliness, and quality of life (QOL)-among young adults in India (N = 233). Correlational analyses showed that CAI usage was non-significantly associated with lower social anxiety (r = -0.12) and loneliness (r = -0.18) and was modestly but non-significantly linked to higher Quality of Life (QoL) (r = 0.23-0.3…
From conditioning to un-conditioning

In line with this Indian inclination of u…
Spirituality and self-efficacy as predictors of wellbeing among young adults in India
This study examines the correlations among spirituality, self-efficacy, and well-being in a sample of 204 young adults from various states across India. Employing both quantitative and qualitative methodologies, the study utilises the Delaney Spirituality Scale, General Self-Efficacy Scale and WHO Well-Being Index to measure the constructs. Quantitative analysis revealed significant positive correlations between spirituality and both well-being (…

Role of mindfulness meditation as moderating variable in reducing death anxiety
The widespread mortality caused by the second wave of COVID created a sense of death salience world over. Past literature suggests that reminder of one's own mortality produces death anxiety in a person. The present study intends to see the effect of mindfulness meditation as a moderating variable on death anxiety. For this, the participants (n = 42; 25 male, 17 female) were randomly assigned to the control and the experimental groups. The experi…
