Flood Susceptibility and Risk Assessment in Myanmar Using Multi-Source Remote Sensing and Interpretable Ensemble Machine Learning Model
This observation-based and explainable approach demonstrates the applicability of multi-source remote sensing for flood assessment in data-scarce regions, offering a robust scientific basis for flood management and spatial planning in monsoon-affected areas. Floods are among the most frequent and devastating natural hazards, particularly in developing countries such as Myanmar, where monsoon-driven rainfall and inadequate flood-control infrastruc…
Risk of prostate cancer associated with long-term air pollution exposure
In over 400,000 Taiwanese men, higher levels of several air pollutants were associated with a greater likelihood of developing prostate cancer. These findings suggest that air pollution may be an important environmental factor in prostate cancer etiology. Further research is needed to confirm these associations before informing clinical practice or public health policy
Can the implementation of the smart city pilot policy improve the social adaptive health and mental health of middle-aged and elderly people? Evidence from China
With the accelerating pace of population aging in China and the implementation of the smart city pilot policy, whether the middle-aged and elderly population can integrate and adapt to this "smart" society has become an urgent problem that needs to be solved. In this context, exploring the impact of smart city pilot policies on the social adaptation health and mental health of middle-aged and elderly people has become a top priority for China to …
Health study of 11,800 workers under occupational noise in Xinjiang
Workers of male, elder, in mine and small/medium enterprises should be the key populations to prevent occupational noise hazard. It is necessary to standardize occupational health management in enterprises, which helps to improve workers' self-protection awareness and quality of life
