When does debt become a burden? Evidence from Asian developing countries
This study investigates the critical debt-to-GDP threshold at which external debt transitions from growth-enhancing to growth-impeding across 32 Asian developing economies over the period 1995–2020. Using dynamic panel estimators that address endogeneity, cross-sectional dependence, and heterogeneity—specifically the two-step system generalized method of moments, dynamic common correlated effects, and dynamic panel threshold models—the analysis r…
Financial resilience and sustainability
The primary objective of this study is to uncover whether the occurrence of stock price crash (SPCR) influences firms’ engagement in green innovation (GI) and change in GI activities. Using data for China’s A-share listed firms from 2009 to 2022, our initial findings reveal that firms increase their investments in GI after SPCR occurrence and this effect is consistent with a change in GI. The mechanism analysis shows increased financial constrain…

Through a comprehensive triple-down analysis, we ascertain whether an augmentation in managerial capabilities expedites the adoption of practices promoting environmental, social and economic sustainability (recognized as the pillars of sustainability). Furthermore…
Stigma and its influencing factors in female patients with high-risk HPV infection
Personal monthly income, recurring infections, psychological resilience, and rumination were influential factors contributing to stigma in HR-HPV patients. Subsequent research should prioritize the development and integration of interventions aimed at eliminating stigma
