  • Evaluating the impact of motor quotient physical fitness training on health-related fitness indicators and obesity risk in children aged 7–8 years in Tianjin, China

Open Access•Sha Ge, Hongwu Liu et al.•ARTICLE•BMC Public Health•2025

This study aimed to evaluate the impact of Motor Quotient (MQ) physical fitness training on health-related fitness indicators and obesity risk in children aged 7-8 years in Tianjin, China. A total of 60 obese participants were randomly divided into an experimental group (N = 30) and a control group (N = 30). The intervention program focused on improving children's physical, behavioral, and task-related capabilities through structured MQ training.…

  • Cracking the investment and financing dilemma for clean upgrading of carbon-intensive enterprises

    Open Access•Weipeng Zhang, Huwei Wen•ARTICLE•Environment Development and…•2025

  • The single and mixed impacts of cadmium, cobalt, lead, and PAHs on systemic immunity inflammation index in male and female

Open Access•Jun-feng Nie, Junfeng Nie et al.•ARTICLE•Frontiers in Public Health•2024

Background: Studies on the association between mixed exposure to common pollutants such as cadmium (Cd), cobalt (Co), lead (Pb), and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) with Systemic Immune Inflammatory Index (SII), a novel hemocyte-based inflammatory marker, have not been reported. This study explored the relationship between co-exposure to Cd, Co, Pb, PAHs, and SII. Methods: In this study, we used data from the National Health and Nutrition…

  • Interactive association of metals and Life’s Essential 8 with mortality in U.S. adults

Open Access•Weipeng Zhang, Weiqiang Chen et al.•ARTICLE•BMC Public Health•2024

In this representative sample of the U.S. population, we found that the combined effect of cadmium, lead, thallium, and LE8 was positively associated with all-cause mortality. Furthermore, the interaction between cadmium and LE8 influenced all-cause mortality. So people should adopt healthy behaviors and reduce heavy metal exposure to minimize the risk of adverse health outcomes
