  • Why Not Lonely? A Longitudinal Study of Factors Related to Loneliness and Non-Loneliness in Different Age Groups Among People in the Second Part of Life

Open Access•Magnhild Nicolaisen, Are Hugo Pripp et al.•ARTICLE•The International Journal of…•2023

Age-related changes and losses may lead to loneliness. However, some people do not become lonelier, even after negative life events. We ask: How does loneliness develop over time, and who resists becoming lonely? In the total group, loneliness decrease…

  • No deterioration in health-related quality of life in patients with axial spondyloarthritis followed for 5 years in ordinary outpatient clinics in the biological treatment era

Open Access•Gudrun Rohde, Kari Hansen Berg et al.•ARTICLE•Quality of Life Research•2019

Our ax-SpA outpatient clinic patients, with more patients treated with biologic drugs during the 5-year follow-up, did not deteriorate in HRQOL. In fact, the physical dimension in HRQOL improved over the years, as did measures reflecting disease activity. Our study adds evidence to the importance of suppressing inflammation to maintain and improve HRQOL in ax-SpA patients

  • Severely inadequate micronutrient intake among children 9–24 months in Nepal—The MAL‐ED birth cohort study

Open Access•Marianne Morseth, Liv Elin Torheim et al.•ARTICLE•Maternal and Child Nutrition•2017

Prevalence of micronutrient deficiencies is high among infants and children in low- and middle income countries, but knowledge about nutrient adequacy across the complementary feeding period is limited. We investigated probability of adequacy (PA) of breast milk and complementary food combined and nutrient density adequacy (NDA) of complementary food and tracking of NDA over time among 229 children from 9-24 months of age in Bhaktapur, Nepal. Mon…
