Transforming trade for vaccine equity
The ongoing Pandemic Agreement negotiations illustrate significant gaps in action required to respond effectively to the lessons of the COVID-19 pandemic and make progress towards public health goals, including Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Dashes Protocol
Background: Despite the continued global decline in adult tobacco prevalence, rates continue to be significantly higher in groups with problematic drug or alcohol use (PDA). It is estimated that people with alcohol, drug or mental health problems account for approximately half of all smoking deaths. In the UK, there are free stop smoking services for the general population. However, these services have been criticized as unsuitable for people in …

Perceptions about blood donation, transfusion and the risk of HIV infection
To assess perceptions of risk of AIDS/HIV infection from donation to, and receipt of, blood from the British Blood Transfusion Service, we undertook self completion surveys (n = 1874, response rate 74%) and an interview survey (n = 300, response rate 77%) of students in three higher/further education establishments in the North East of England. In the postal survey 20.9% perceived a risk of acquiring HIV/AIDS after blood donation, and 4.8% percei…
Anonymous postal surveys
Further to Doctors Campbell and Waters' article in the recent issue of the Journal (March 1990, p 75), we would like to report our experiences of an anonymous postal questionnaire survey which extends their observations.A postal survey was recently undertaken in three further and higher educational establishments in the Tyne Tees area, to ascertain students' AIDS related knowledge, attitudes and behaviour, and opinions on an HIV information pack …
