Historically, divorced women have been vulnerable to devaluation. This study examined the experiences of divorce-related stigma in emerging and young adult women, who at the time of divorce were between the ages of 23 and 32. Informed by consensual qualitative research methodology, the experiences of nine divorced emerging and young adult women were analyzed. Prior to marriage, themes of feeling unmoored, in transition, and without an anchor shaped their narratives.
