Open Access•Alice Guan, Valerie McGuire et al.•ARTICLE•Frontiers in Human Dynamics•2026

Objectives Prostate cancer is the most common cancer among men in the United States. This study examines factors associated with active surveillance (AS) uptake, timing of treatment decision making, and whether timing affects quality of life. • Engaging Mentor Mothers in Rapid Return of Viral Load Results to Pregnant and Postpartum Women Living with HIV

Open Access•Pamela M Murnane, Sharon Ouma et al.•ARTICLE•AIDS and Behavior•2025

Among pregnant (≥ 27 weeks) and postpartum (≤ 6 months) women in HIV care in Kisumu Kenya, we conducted a pilot study in which Mentor Mothers (peer support) returned viral load results (GeneXpert) after a clinic visit between June-December 2023. We assess…

  • Effect of tobacco sales bans on retail sales in Beverly Hills and Manhattan Beach, California, USA

Nita H Mukand, Wendy Max et al.•ARTICLE•Tobacco Control•2025

The tobacco sales bans in Beverly Hills and Manhattan Beach nearly eliminated local tobacco sales in the included stores, without prompting substantial cross-border shopping. Stability of non-tobacco product sales for included stores suggests these policies did not adversely affect local retail economies. These results suggest the viability of tobacco sales bans as an effective tobacco control strategy
