  • Xin-shu-bao tablets ameliorates ventricular remodeling against HFrEF via PPARγ/MFGE8 pathway based on Maldi-MSI and lipidomics

Open Access•Fengrong Zhang, Zhenkun Li et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Ethnopharmacology•2025

XSB demonstrate cardioprotective effects by improving cardiac function and modulating ventricular remodeling processes in mice with HFrEF. These processes involve attenuation of inflammation, apoptosis, efferocytosis, and cardiac fibrosis. The cardioprotective mechanisms of XSB are mediated through the regulation of lipid metabolism via the PPARγ/MFGE8 signaling pathway.

  • Investigation of human infection with H5N6 avian influenza cases in Sichuan Province from 2014 to 2024: A retrospective study

Open Access•Lijun Zhou, Zhirui Li et al.•ARTICLE•Frontiers in Public Health•2025

Objective: The objective is to examine the epidemiology and clinical features of human cases infected with H5N6 avian influenza in Sichuan Province from 2014 to 2024, and to offer guidance for the prevention and management of human infections with H5N6 avian influenza. Methods: Epidemiological survey reports of H5N6 avian influenza cases in Sichuan Province from 2014 to 2024 were compiled, and the epidemiological context and characteristics of 16…

  • Can network infrastructure construction alleviate individual depression? Evidence from a quasi-natural experiment of “Broadband China”

Open Access•Yanxiang Liang, Na Xu et al.•ARTICLE•Current Psychology•2024

  • Network pharmacology, molecular docking and experimental study of CEP in nasopharyngeal carcinoma

Open Access•Jiangping Yang, Jianping Yang et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Ethnopharmacology•2024

  • Ice-and-snow tourism in China: Trends and influencing factors

Open Access•Jianping Yang, Yanxia Wang et al.•ARTICLE•Humanities and Social Sciences…•2023

Ice-and-snow tourism (IST) is central to the Chinese ice-and-snow economy and can help achieve the green transformation and expansion of the Chinese economy. However, IST has not been defined conclusively in China. In this study, the IST concept was analyzed, and the growth of both tourism types was described using an Event–Time–Space comprehensive analysis method. Two temporal phases with large increases were highlighted in both tourisms. The fa…

  • Spatiotemporal Patterns of Ground Monitored PM2.5 Concentrations in China in Recent Years

Open Access•Junming Li, Xiulan Han et al.•ARTICLE•International Journal of…•2018

This paper firstly explores the space-time evolution of city-level PM 2.5 concentrations showed a very significant seasonal cycle type fluctuation during the period between 13 May 2014 and 30 May 2017. The period from October to April following each year was a heavy pollution period, whereas the phase from April to October of the current year was part of a light pollution period. The average monthly PM 2.5 concentrations in mainland China based o…

  • Relationship between Methyl Tertiary Butyl Ether Exposure and Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease: A Cross-Sectional Study among Petrol Station Attendants in Southern China

Open Access•Jianping Yang, Qinzhi Wei et al.•ARTICLE•International Journal of…•2016

Methyl tertiary butyl ether (MTBE)-A well known gasoline additive substituting for lead alkyls-causes lipid disorders and liver dysfunctions in animal models. However, whether MTBE exposure is a risk factor for non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) remains uncertain. We evaluate the possible relationship between MTBE exposure and the prevalence of NAFLD among 71 petrol station attendants in southern China. The personal exposure concentrations…

  • Health Risk Assessment for Inhalation Exposure to Methyl Tertiary Butyl Ether at Petrol Stations in Southern China

Open Access•Dalin Hu, Jianping Yang et al.•ARTICLE•International Journal of…•2016

Methyl tertiary butyl ether (MTBE), a well known gasoline additive, is used in China nationwide to enhance the octane number of gasoline and reduce harmful exhaust emissions, yet little is known regarding the potential health risk associated with occupational exposure to MTBE in petrol stations. In this study, 97 petrol station attendants (PSAs) in southern China were recruited for an assessment of the health risk associated with inhalation expos…
