In the investigated subject, the mothers’ ages, their pregnancy cycles and delivery sequences were teken into account. Attention was payed to sex differences of the newborns and to the differences between fetuses and newborns

In contrast to numerous anatomic-anthropometric examinations of twins: during their postnatal life analogical examinations dealing with prenatal period are conducted only recently. In Poland no such examinations have been conducted at all. Investigations based on observation of twin fetuses are of a great, importance especially for elucidation of determinants of growth of internal organs hitherto dealt with only in a limited and irregular way

On the material comprising 162 male and 173 female fetuses of various ages the authors observe. sexual dimorphism of the following metric characters: total body length, crown-rump length, body weight, 4 head dimensions and 6 dimensions of the palate.
