Do small effects matter more in vulnerable populations? an investigation using Environmental influences on Child Health Outcomes (Echo) cohorts
Vulnerable sub-populations with greater baseline percentages at high risk fare worse when exposed to a small insult compared to the general population. This illustrates another facet of health disparity in vulnerable individuals
The Dance of Relationship
The eight steps of the Dance of Relationship are presented to show how couples structure time together. In a therapy setting this technique can help a couple gain insight into: 1) their illusions versus the reality of how they spend time together, 2) how to avoid manipulative ploys designed to control each other, 3) how to achieve more of their wants within the relationship, and 4) how to attain harmony in their “dance” together
A Treatment Program for the Child Referred by Parents
This article focuses on a treatment process that involves the parent-referred child and the parents in a unique treatment approach. Techniques enabling the child to talk about feelings are presented with examples and case histories. The article further illustrates how to help the child learn to alter negative scripting or self-destructive patterns of thinking
