  • Association of multi-metals with the risk of hypertension and the interaction with obesity

Open Access•Shan Wu, Alfonso Villarán et al.•ARTICLE•Frontiers in Public Health•2023

The combined effect of four metals (manganese, arsenic, cadmium and lead) were associated with the prevalence of hypertension. Potential interaction effects of cadmium, lead and obesity on hypertension risk may exist. Further cohort studies in larger population are needed to clarify these findings

  • Association of adiposity with risk of obstructive sleep apnea

Open Access•Hai Deng, Xueru Duan et al.•ARTICLE•BMC Public Health•2023

NC, BF%, WHR, VAI, LAP, and RMR were all independently and positively associated with OSA risk, regardless of age, sex, history of dyslipidemia, and menopausal status. Application of these new indicators could help to more comprehensively reflect and predict the risk of OSA in the general population

Open Access•Xiao-Hui Xing, Xiaohui Xing et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Ethnopharmacology•2009
