  • Soil Multifunctionality Was Determined by Land Cover and Soil‐Microbiological Properties in the Karst Region

Open Access•Xiaoxiao Zou, Kai Yao et al.•ARTICLE•Land Degradation and Development•2026

Under the background of the large‐scale Grain for Green Project (GGP) in southwest China, studies have primarily examined the impacts of vegetation restoration on individual soil functions. However, there is a pressing need to intensify research on soil multifunctionality (SMF). By using random forest and structural equation model, this research examined the variation of SMF across three land cover (LC) types, using karst converted crop to forest…

  • A Survey of Test-Time Compute

Open Access•Yixin Ji, Juntao Li et al.•ARTICLE•Computational Linguistics•2026

The remarkable performance of the o1 model in complex reasoning demonstrates that test-time compute scaling can further unlock the model’s potential, enabling powerful System-2 thinking. However, there is still a lack of comprehensive surveys for test-time compute scaling. We trace the concept of test-time compute back to System-1 models. In System-1 models, test-time compute addresses distribution shifts and improves robustness and generalizatio…

  • Association between domain-specific physical activity and triglyceride‐glucose (TyG) index among US adults

    Open Access•Kai Yao•ARTICLE•BMC Public Health•2025

LT-MVPA was associated with a decreased TyG index in US adults, while no such association was observed with O-MVPA or T-MVPA. Specific recommendations for PA categories should be provided, especially for populations at risk of diseases linked to a high TyG index or insulin resistance

  • Global, regional, and national bladder cancer burden from 1990 to 2021 and forecasts to 2050

Open Access•Weici Feng, Yanjun Wang et al.•ARTICLE•BMC Public Health•2025

BCa continues to exert a rising and uneven global burden. Temporal analyses revealed heterogeneous trends across regions, while projections indicate sustained increases by 2050, particularly in aging populations and resource-limited settings. Marked disparities by sex, age, and geography highlight high-risk groups requiring targeted interventions. These findings provide critical evidence to inform global health planning and prevention

  • LGBT-Inclusive Representation in Entertainment Products and Its Market Response

Open Access•Yimin Cheng, Xiaoyu Zhou et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Business Ethics•2023
