Factors associated with HIV-positive status among men who have sex with men in Guinea in 2022
Introduction/Context Men who have sex with men (MSM) continue to carry a disproportionate burden of HIV in West and Central Africa, where stigma, criminalization, and legal restrictions hinder access to essential prevention and treatment services. In Guinea, data on HIV-related risk factors among MSM remain scarce. Objective This study aimed to estimate the prevalence of HIV and identify factors associated with HIV seropositivity among MSM in Gui…
Acceptability of pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) among men who have sex with men (MSM) in Benin

MSM, 18 years or older, HIV-negative or of unknown status, were enrolled in five cities of Benin. I…
Acceptability of pre-exposure prophylaxis for HIV prevention
In Benin, not all MSM know about PrEP. But once well informed, the majority seems willing to use it if made available. The free availability of the drug and its accessibility in the MSM networks are important facilitators. The possibility of decrease in condom use should not be a barrier to the prescription of PrEP if made available
