The Global and Local Patterns of Reading-Related Cognitive and Ecological Variables in Chinese First-Grade Children: A Cross-Sectional Network Analysis
In the current study, we tested a network model of reading difficulty by using state-of-the-art psychological network analysis. Four hundred and fifty-three Chinese first-grade children (about 38% female, mean age = 7.00, SD = 0.41) were divided into good ( n = 154), competent ( n = 147), and struggling ( n = 152) readers based on their scores of Chinese character reading. The Extended Bayesian Information Criterion graphical lasso (EBICglasso) m…
Resilience in the face of adversity: The role of impermanence in mitigating the effects of childhood emotional abuse and everyday stress on depressive symptoms
This study aimed to examine whether impermanence awareness and impermanence acceptance would moderate the effects of childhood emotional abuse and everyday stress on depressive symptoms. A total of 236 Chinese college students (73.3% female; age:M= 20.03, SD = 2.42) participated in this cross-sectional study in March, 2023. These participants completed a battery of measures for childhood emotional abuse, everyday stress, impermanence awareness, i…
Job Insecurity and Safety Behaviour: The Mediating Role of Insomnia and Work Engagement
From the perspective of resource conservation theory, this study selected 568 enterprise employees as subjects and conducted data collection using a random sampling method to explore the relationship between job insecurity and safe behaviours as well as the role of insomnia and job engagement in this relationship. The results show that (1) job insecurity is negatively correlated with safety behaviour, (2) insomnia mediates the relationship betwee…
The Effect of Abusive Supervision on Safety Behaviour: A Moderated Mediation Model
Leadership behavior has an impact on the behavior of employees. Previous studies have mainly studied the impact of positive leadership behaviors on employees' behaviors, but there is an absence of research on the impact of negative leadership behaviours (abusive supervision) on safety behaviours (including safety participation and safety compliance). In this study, 599 front-line employees in the petrochemical industry were selected as subjects. …
