The July/August issue of MR is a superb addition to the articles (and books) which are aimed at the multi-faceted myths surrounding Columbus and his trans-Atlantic voyages. Understandably, major emphasis in the myth-destroying quincentennial literature is on Amerindians and African-Americans. On Marzani's Exaltation of Communism
Carl Marzani (MR, January 1990) does a superb job in demolishing Brzezinski, Heilbroner, et al, whose exaltation of capitalism is found faulty, and justly so. Marzani's exaltation of communism, however, is tainted with a futile clinging to dogma.
