Multidisciplinary Education Pathways to Attract High School Students Toward Research and Science
This study reports the design, implementation, and descriptive evaluation of “Codici del Futuro”, a STEM-oriented education pathway developed by the Italian National Research Council (CNR) to promote students’ interest in science and awareness of research-related careers and addressed to local high school students. The programme involved 167 high school students organised in 10 groups and combined an orientation session with hands-on workshops de…
Excellent Response to OnabotulinumtoxinA
The identification of patients who can benefit the most from the available preventive treatments is important in chronic migraine. We explored the rate of excellent responders to onabotulinumtoxinA in a multicenter European study and explored the predictors of such response, according to different definitions. A pooled analysis on chronic migraineurs treated with onabotulinumtoxinA and followed-up for, at least, 9 months was performed. Excellent …
Risk of Benign and Malignant Thyroid Disorders in Subjects Treated for Paediatric/Adolescent Neoplasia
In patients treated with CHE+RTE, the prevalence of hypothyroidism and nodular pathology, both malignant and benign, were significantly greater than in patients treated with CHE. However, also in the CHE group, the frequency of thyroid disease is not negligible and the pathogenetic mechanisms remain to be clarified. Our data suggest the clinical benefit of morpho-functional thyroid screening in P/A cancer survivors
