Humane Orientation as a New Cultural Dimension of the GLOBE Project
We validate, extend, and empirically and theoretically criticize the cultural dimension of humane orientation of the project GLOBE (Global Leadership and Organizational Behavior Effectiveness Research Program). Appraisal Underpinnings of Affective Chronometry
In light of the lack of studies examining the cognitive components of affective chronometry, this research examined the appraisals associated with emotion habituation, using anger as the emotion of focus. Anger and its appraisals were assessed repeatedly over a day in the participants' naturalistic contexts. Previous research on appraisal theories of emotion has shown that emotions and appraisals are related but has not specified the nature of the relationships. This study was undertaken to provide an empirical basis for planning safer sex interventions in Singapore by examining the sexual practices of men attending an anonymous HIV testing site. All male clients attending the testing site from January, 1996 to January 1997 were asked to complete an anonymous questionnaire concerning oral and anal sex with men as well as vaginal, oral and anal sex with women within the past year.
