Relationship between negative symptoms, cognitive function and social function in schizophrenia
Our findings provided evidence revealing a closer connection between negative symptoms, cognitive function, and social functioning. In light of these findings, precise targets for pharmacological treatment, psychotherapy and physical therapy are identified for patients with schizophrenia
The relationship between cognitive and global function in patients with schizophrenia and mood disorders
The close connections between WM, AV, and global function as well as the high centrality indexes of SOP and Vrbl suggest that these domains share aspects of pathophysiology in schizophrenia and mood disorder. However, the data-driven approach limited our interpretation of the results. Theory-driven model should be further validated to elucidate causal pathways and find more promising approaches to recovery
Analysis of the status quo and clinical influencing factors of the social cognitive impairment in deficit schizophrenia
There are significant social cognitive impairments in the perception of social information, judgment and resolution of social problems in deficit schizophrenia, which are closely related to negative symptoms and multidimensional neurocognitive dysfunction such as attention, learning, memory, brain information processing speed, cognitive flexibility, and functional executive power
Influencing factors of different metabolic status in hospitalized patients with schizophrenia
The findings of our study underscored the importance of factors such as age, education level, chronic disease, and waist circumference when exploring the influencing factors and biological mechanisms of obesity-related metabolic problems in schizophrenia patients
Empathy deficit in male patients with schizophrenia and its relationships with impulsivity and premeditated violence
SCH patients with violent behavior had more extensive empathy deficits compared with non-violent SCH patients. EC, IA and PM are independent risk factors of violence in SCH patients. Empathy concern is an important index to predict PM in male patients with SCH
Altered Functional Connectivity of the Nucleus Accumbens Network Between Deficit and Non-deficit Schizophrenia
Deficit schizophrenia (DS), which is marked by stable negative symptoms, is regarded as a homogeneous subgroup of schizophrenia. While DS patients have structurally altered nucleus accumbens (NAcc) compared to non-deficit schizophrenia (NDS) patients and healthy individuals, the investigation of NAcc functional connectivity (FC) with negative symptoms and neurocognition could provide insights into the pathophysiology of schizophrenia. 58 DS, 93 N…
Important citation identification by exploiting the syntactic and contextual information of citations
Altered Patterns of the Fractional Amplitude of Low-Frequency Fluctuation and Functional Connectivity Between Deficit and Non-Deficit Schizophrenia
Objective: A limited number of studies have previously reported on the regional activity [amplitude of low-frequency fluctuation (ALFF)] and functional integration [functional connectivity (FC)] of the whole brain in deficit schizophrenia (DS). The present study investigates the resting-state characteristics of the fractional ALFF (fALFF) and the FC in both DS and non-deficit schizophrenia (NDS) patients, and further explores their correlations w…
