Therefore, training for health care providers on the screening, counselling, and management of social anxiety disorder is important
Test anxiety and its determinants among health sciences students at Mattu University
Test anxiety was common in the study area. Current substance use (tobacco use and khat chewing) and psychological distress were discovered to be factors that exacerbated test anxiety, whereas self-esteem and physical activity were discovered to be factors that alleviated test anxiety. Therefore, students and stakeholders need to work to discourage those factors that increase test anxiety while promoting factors that alleviate it
Prevalence of postpartum post-traumatic stress disorder and associated factors among postnatal mothers in West Arsi zone, South West Ethiopia, 2024
As identified, one out of five mothers had postpartum posttraumatic stress disorder. Thus, healthcare providers should focus on identified factors like cesarean section and instrumental deliveries while counseling, as this enhances the mothers' psychological readiness. In addition, the West Arsi Zonal Health Office should develop effective strategies to alleviate the problem by focusing on the identified factors
Knowledge, attitude, and its correlates of the community toward mental illness in Mattu, South West Ethiopia
About one-third and more than one-half of the study participants showed poor knowledge and an unfavorable attitude, respectively.
