Study on the correlation between serum total cholesterol levels and suicidal ideation in patients with first-episode drug-naïve schizophrenia: A cross-sectional study
The higher the serum TC levels, positive symptom factor scores, and depressive symptom factor scores in FEDN SZ patients, the greater the risk of SI. Therefore, timely measurement of serum TC levels during the initial diagnosis of FEND SZ patients can help promptly initiate therapeutic interventions, reduce the incidence of SI, and improve the prognosis of FEND SZ patients
Gender differences in risk factors for suicide attempts among young, first-episode and drug-naive major depressive disorder patients with anxiety symptoms
The present study represents the first large-scale investigation of gender differences in the prevalence of suicide attempts and related risk factors among young FEND MDD patients with anxiety in the Chinese Han population. The results indicate that risk factors associated with suicide attempts vary by gender among young FEND MDD patients with anxiety, although a comparable rate of suicide attempts was observed in both female and male patients
Association of thyroid function with abnormal lipid metabolism in young patients with first-episode and drug naïve major depressive disorder
Our results show that thyroid function parameters, especially TSH levels, are implicated in abnormal lipid metabolism in young patients with FEDN MDD
Prevalence and correlates of dyslipidemia in first-episode and drug-naïve major depressive disorder patients with comorbid abnormal glucose metabolism: Sex differences
There are sex differences in the correlated factors of lipid markers in MDD patients with impaired glucose
Sex Difference in Comorbid Depression in First-Episode and Drug-Naive Patients With Schizophrenia: Baseline Results From the Depression in Schizophrenia in China Study
OBJECTIVE: Comorbid depression is common in schizophrenia, and sex differences are prominent in many aspects of schizophrenia. However, few studies have investigated sex difference in comorbid depression in schizophrenia. This large sample study aimed to investigate sex differences in first-episode drug-naive (FEDN) patients with schizophrenia comorbid major depressive episode (SZ-MDE). METHODS: A total of 996 FEDN patients with schizophrenia (47…
