  • Prevalence and correlates of suicidal ideation in the general public during the fifth wave of Covid-19 pandemic in Hong Kong

Open Access•Heidi Ka Ying Lo, Joe Kwun Nam Chan et al.•ARTICLE•Frontiers in Psychiatry•2024

Risk and protective factors identified would facilitate early identification of high-risk individuals and provision of targeted interventions to minimize suicidal ideation and risk of self-harm. Caution should be exercised due to study limitations of a cross-sectional design which precluded establishing causality among variables, and reliance …

  • Prevalence and correlates of subjective cognitive impairment in Chinese psychiatric patients during the fifth wave of Covid-19 in Hong Kong

Open Access•Vivian Shi Cheng Fung, Jacob Man Tik Chan et al.•ARTICLE•Frontiers in Psychiatry•2023

COVID-19 related factors were not independently associated with SCI in psychiatric patients. Early detection with targeted psychological interventions may therefore reduce psychological distress, and hence self-perc…

  • Cognitive subgroups and the relationships with symptoms, psychosocial functioning and quality of life in first-episode non-affective psychosis

Open Access•Candice Tze Kwan Kam, Vivian Shi Cheng Fung et al.•ARTICLE•Frontiers in Psychiatry•2023

Our results affirmed cognitive heterogeneity in FEP and identified three subgroups, which were differentially associated with demographic and illness-related variables. Further research should clarify longitudinal relationships of cognitive subgroups with clinical and functional outcomes in FEP
