Cognitive impairment in comorbid MDD and OSA
The observed associations between prolonged P300 latency and elevated ODI/Microarousal Index raises the possibility that intermittent hypoxia and sleep fragmentation are underlying contributing factors. These two nocturnal disturbances may interact to worsen cognitive dysfunction in patients with MDD-OSA comorbidity
The effect of bright light therapy on glycemic control and cortisol rhythmicity in depression

Sleep efficiency and event−related potentials in patients with depression
Low SE with MDD was associated with chronic inflammation and impaired cognitive function, suggesting that inflammation may act as a potential mediating factor in the relationship between SE and impaired cognitive function
Neural mechanism of the relationship between sleep efficiency and clinical improvement in major depressive disorder
Apart from highlighting the fALFF as a potential prognostic indicator to predict and track disease progression in patients with MDD, these findings might provide a neural mechanism basis for improving sleep quality of patients with MDD and thus promoting the recovery of clinical symptoms, as well as provide a practical basis for clinical interventions in patients with MDD with sleep disorders
The Relationship Between Serum Concentration of Vitamin D, Total Intracranial Volume, and Severity of Depressive Symptoms in Patients With Major Depressive Disorder
Background: Depression has been linked to vitamin D deficiency. However, little attention was paid to the neural substrate underlying this association. Methods: Fifty patients with major depressive disorder (MDD) were enrolled in this study. High-resolution structural magnetic resonance imaging was performed to calculate total intracranial volume (TIV). Peripheral venous blood samples were collected to measure serum vitamin D concentration. Hamil…
