Esporotricosis en pacientes que acuden a un centro médico de referencia, en Abancay, Perú
A descriptive study was conducted between the months of May and August 2008 in Santa Teresa Medical Center, Abancay. Of 33 patients clinically suspected with Sporotrichosis: 20 patients were identified with Sporothrix schenckii. 11 (55%) of patients were males. Children between 0 and 14 years were most affected. 60% of the lesions were fixed cutaneous being more frequent in the head and neck (40%). 55% had lessions for less than one month. In ped…
