In order to determine the trend and characteristics of the manuscripts received and rejected in the Peruvian Journal of Experimental Medicine and Public Health (RPMESP), the manuscripts that followed the editorial process from 2011 to 2017 were analyzed, according to the type of manuscript, characteristics of the corresponding author, and rejection decisions. We describe the evolution and features of a cluster of Multidrug-resistant tuberculosis (MDR TB) cases that occurred in 2001, in a school located in a sub-urban area of the district of Ica, Peru. We identified 15 students related before becoming infected with tuberculosis. The mean age of the cluster was 15 years.
