Morphological Characteristics of Maeotian Horses
A comparative morphometric analysis of postcranial skeletal elements of horses from 12 archaeological sites in the North Caucasus belonging to the Maeotian culture was conducted. Data from seven of these sites were published here for the first time. In 2019 and 2020, 5 km north of the city of Maykop in the Republic of Adygea, security and rescue excavations of mounds were carried out in connection with the construction of a highway bypassing the city of Maykop.
