Feasibility of T2-Weighted MRI Radiomics for Initial Risk Stratification in Pediatric Neuroblastoma
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the feasibility of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)-based radiomics derived from routine T2-weighted imaging for initial risk stratification in pediatric neuroblastoma (NB) and to explore its potential role as a noninvasive adjunct to established clinical and molecular classification systems. Methods: In this retrospective, single-center pilot study, 45 children with newly diagnosed NB (2015–2024…
Report of Two Cases of Pediatric IgG4-Related Lymphadenopathy (IgG4-LAD)
IgG4-related disease (IgG4-RD) is a recently discovered immune-mediated fibroinflammatory condition, uncommon in the pediatric population, that could involve multiple organs and induce cancer-like lesions and organ damage. Its main features are multiple injuries in different sites, a dense lymphoplasmacytic infiltrate rich in IgG4 plasma cells, storiform fibrosis, and often high serological concentrations of IgG4. Autoimmune pancreatitis is the m…
Risk of Benign and Malignant Thyroid Disorders in Subjects Treated for Paediatric/Adolescent Neoplasia
In patients treated with CHE+RTE, the prevalence of hypothyroidism and nodular pathology, both malignant and benign, were significantly greater than in patients treated with CHE. However, also in the CHE group, the frequency of thyroid disease is not negligible and the pathogenetic mechanisms remain to be clarified. Our data suggest the clinical benefit of morpho-functional thyroid screening in P/A cancer survivors
