    According oral tradition, Bellona (in the Solomon Islands) was settled 24 generations ago by Polynesian immigrants from an island called 'Ubea, which may possibly be Uvea or Wallis Island west of Samoa. The suahongi is a ritual dance, which the Bellonese believe was brought with their ancestors from this mythical homeland.
