  • Assessment of Sustainable Development Levels, Country Disparities, and Dynamic Evolution Trends of Asean ‐10 Countries

    Open Access•Kui Zhou, Huiting Chen et al.•ARTICLE•Sustainable Development•2025•References: 5

This study addresses the limited research on sustainable development in ASEAN by quantitatively analyzing levels, country disparities, and dynamic evolution trends across the 10 member countries from 2000 to 2020. Based on the United Nations SDGs framework and the regional characteristics of ASEAN, an evaluation metrics framework was developed across four dimensions: economic development, social harmony, ecological environment, and resource secur…

  • Impacts of smart and active packaging on the quality and storage period of ‘Barhi’ dates

Open Access•Ibrahim El-Shenawy Ghounim, Ibrahim Hmmam et al.•ARTICLE•International Journal of Health…•2022

The climacteric nature of ‘Barhi’ dates makes their shelf life very short after harvest. This research aimed to explore the impact of using different packaging materials along with reducing the negative effects of ethylene gas on the quality of ‘Barhi’ date fruit by determining the changes in physical and chemical characteristics of stored fruit. For this purpose, ‘Barhi’ date fruits were picked during the Khalal stage and stored using three diff…

  • Novel Approach to Classify Skin Malignancy Through Deep Convolutional Neural Network and Image Preprocessing Approaches

Open Access•Naresh Kumar Sripada, Mohammed Ismail•ARTICLE•International Journal of Health…•2022

Melanoma is a malignant skin disease that kills roughly one million people per year, as per WHO records. The proposed work's major goal is to create and develop an enhanced deep neural network model that can evaluate, recognize, and predict cutaneous skin disease in its early stages with more accuracy, lowering the chance of death. The dataset, which was gathered from dermatologists and the public domain, contains roughly 3606 images of various t…

  • Industry-Oriented Laboratory Development for Mixed-Signal IC Test Education

Open Access•John Hu, Mark Haffner et al.•ARTICLE•IEEE Transactions on Education•2010

The semiconductor industry is lacking qualified integrated circuit (IC) test engineers to serve in the field of mixed-signal electronics. The absence of mixed-signal IC test education at the collegiate level is cited as one of the main sources for this problem. In response to this situation, the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Ohio State University, Columbus, has partnered with Texas Instruments to establish an IC test-en…

  • The computer implementation of bilinear s-z transformation using new continued fraction algorithms

Open Access•Mohammed Ismail, Hamid Vakilzadian•ARTICLE•IEEE Transactions on Education•1989

The application of continued fractions to the bilinear transformation of polynomials is introduced. The operations to perform the transformation are continued fraction expansion in the s domain and continued fraction inversion in the z domain. Novel algorithms and computer programs to implement the expansion and the inversion are presented. In particular, the expansion algorithm provides closed forms for the continued fraction quotients in terms …
