Should gaming disorder include non-digital gaming activities, e.g., collectible card games, tabletop games
This commentary critically considers the case for including non-digital gaming within the scope of gaming disorder. The ICD-11 category for gaming disorder refers to gaming (i.e., ‘digital gaming’ or ‘video-gaming’) which may be predominantly ‘online’ (i.e., over the internet) versus ‘offline’. This study uses time diary data from the Child Development Supplement of the Panel Study of Income Dynamics to examine patterns in young school-age (6-12 years) children's time involvement with parents in nontraditional families versus first married biological parent families. The following inventory of eighty-five reels of microfilm represents a selection of documents which relate to West Africa from the State Archives of Denmark. The papers in this collection were generated by Rev. Vernon Anderson, a Presbyterian missionary who served in the Belgian Congo. Born in Illinois in 1896, Anderson was raised in Alabama where he attended the Alabama Presbyterian College. This article attempts to assess the importance of Asante influence in the consolidation of the Fante in the eighteenth century. It shows at the outset that mis-translation of Willem Bosman's early eighteenth-century work has led to an erroneous conception of the Fante polities as being incapable of acting on common interests.
