In dem Grab des Huy (TT 40) befindet sich eine Bildszene, die bislang zwar viel beachtet und kommentiert, jedoch nicht eingehend analysiert wurde. Im Gefolge von Hekanefer, des Fürsten von Miam, befindet sich ein Streitwagen, der von einer Frau gefahren und von Ochsen gezogen wird. Scythians
The terms “Scythians” or “Scyths” (Greek Σκúθης, Σκúθoι ; Latin Scythae ) do not describe peoples or tribes within an ethnic definition, but a cultural phenomenon, which manifests itself in the dispersal of horse‐riding nomads and their culture in the Eurasian steppes from the eighth century BCE , where they are mentioned for the first time during the reign of Sargon II (721–705 BCE ).
Chariotry, ancient Near East and Egypt
The ancient Near Eastern chariot is defined as a light, two‐wheeled, horse‐drawn vehicle with spoked wheels and a D‐shaped floor, permitting a chariot driver and charioteer to stand abreast. It was used mainly for warfare, but also for hunting and ceremonial occasions. Chariot racing, which played a significant role in Greek and Indo‐Iranian cultures, is hardly in evidence in the ancient Near East.
