New Type of Archaeological Industrial Sites of the Russian Empire in the Suzun Pine Barrens (Novosibirsk Ob Region)
In 2025, rescue excavations were performed at a part of the Nizhny Suzun-26 archaeological site. A series of similar objects, manifested in the terrain as ring-shaped ditches with bridges, was identified in the Suzun pine barrens at a distance up to 20 km north of the town of Suzun along the line of the planned gas pipeline. The article provides the first results of rescue archaeological excavations at the Khatyngnaakh II multilayer site, located in the impact zone of the Vilyui HPP-3 reservoir. The site was discovered by PAE and investigated by N.V. Antipina in 1979–1982. The kurgans are located in the right-bank part of the Chelbas River valley southwest of the town of Tikhoretsk. Medieval Burials at Ryabchikov Klyuch-1, the Kansk-Rybinsk Basin
Previously, burials at Ryabchikov Klyuch-1 on the Kan River near Kansk were dated to the Late Middle Ages (pre-Russian period) and attributed to an autochthonous group. In 2015, two burials were discovered at the cemetery, with the remains of an adolescent girl and a child. A comprehensive analysis of the burial rite and grave goods suggests that the burials date to the 12th century. Numerous archaeological and ethnographic parallels were found. …
