A Mongolian Age Iron Shield from the Khakass-Minusinsk Region
We describe a partially preserved iron shield discovered in the Uybat steppe, Republic of Khakassia, in 2019. Measuring 65 cm in diameter and weighing over 4 kg, it is fl at, rounded, and riveted from 14 identical segmentshaped iron plates. The edge is decorated with a pattern of fi ne serrations. The article presents the results of the analysis of four items made of antlers discovered by the archaeological team from Khakass State University during excavations of the Tashtyk funerary site ‘Bely Yar-3’. Results of Excavations at the Tashtyk Burial Ground of Tesinsky Zaliv-3 (Bograd District of the Republic of Khakassia) in the Field Season of 2025
This article presents the results of ongoing fieldwork at the rapidly crumbling Tashtyk burial ground of Tesinsky Zaliv-3 located in Bograd District of the Republic of Khakassia. Bones of adult human were found on the rocky beach of the shore from a burial which collapsed from the coastal cliff. Excavation pit VII revealed two ground graves. Funeral Cribworks from the Tesinsky Zaliv-3 Burial Ground
This article discusses wooden burial structures of the Tashtyk culture. Five burials were excavated at the Tesinsky Zaliv-3 burial ground (Republic of Khakassia) in the field season of 2025. Four of them contained cribworks in varying preservation degrees.
