    In the mid 1980s work on the lithic assemblages from the Karanovo tell as well as on lithics from other Early Neolithic settlements was carried out by the author. As a result, a characteristic macroblade technology was distinguished; its traits were a semi-steep and steep retouching and the use of a high quality yellow flint with white spots. This technology is associated with the first half of the 7th millennium bc and the Early Neolithic phases…
