COVID-19 contact tracing is an induction social network intervention in which the structure of the social network is leveraged to deploy proven COVID-19 interventions such as testing and social distancing. The Howard Brown Health organization has rapidly expanded to include COVID-19 testing, contact tracing, and linkage to resources since the first cases were identified in Chicago, Illinois. • Some references to Aboriginal life in the Moreton region from Stobart's Journal (1853)

    Open Access•W R F Love•ARTICLE•Queensland Archaeological Research•1985•Cited by: 1•References: 2

In the previous issue of Q.A.R. it was noted that G.K.E. Fairholme had three articles published in the Proceedings of the Zoological Society of London in 1856 (Love 1984:97). Further research indicated that these were based upon information obtained during a trip down Moreton Bay in the company of the Lord Montagu party in 1853. This was revealed in the extensive Letter-Journal prepared by the Reverend Henry Stobart M.A., Tutor to Lord Montagu (S…

In August, 1976, while conducting a search along the Brisbane River Banks for scarred trees, one of the writers (WL) discovered stone artefacts scattered on a pathway at the edge of the river about 2km from the Queensland University campus. Further examination of the area revealed the presence of a number of backed stone artefacts among an assemblage of flakes and cores. After enlisting the aid of the Prehistory section of The University of Queen…

  • An early note on the Aborigines of southeast Queensland

    Open Access•W R F Love•ARTICLE•Queensland Archaeological Research•1984•Cited by: 3•References: 1

Sometimes when researching a project, one discovers relevant unpublished material. Recently, while researching the use of trees and their products in Aboriginal society I came across some fading photographs of a manuscript about Aboriginal social life in southeast Queensland which dated to 1844 (Love 1982:110-114). The manuscript was written by G.K.E. Fairholme and it is a contemporary descriptive account of some aspects of the Aboriginal societi…
