New AMS Radiocarbon Dates from the Neolithic Occupation Sequence at Amzabegovo (Sveti Nikole, North Macedonia)
This report presents 50 AMS radiocarbon dates from wood charcoal samples extracted from newly uncovered Neolithic settlement layers at the archaeological site of Amzabegovo (Sveti Nikole, North Macedonia). The open-air site of Uzun Mera in eastern North Macedonia provides new insights into Middle Paleolithic Neanderthal behavior and site formation processes in the understudied Balkan Peninsula.
