  • Az apai vonalú N haplocsoport szerepe a mai baskírok, tatárok és magyarok genetikai kapcsolatrendszerében

Open Access•Endre Németh, Ágnes Kustár et al.•ARTICLE•Anthropologiai Közlemények•2019

A specific genetic relationship under paternal haplogroup N among Hungarians, Bashkirs and Tatars is presented. The study identified two, approximately 2700–2800 years old paternal ancestor under subhapolgroup N-B539, whose descendants have so far been identified only among Hungarians, Bashkirs and Tatars. The descendants of one forefather form a specific subgroup under haplogroup N-B540, those of the other under N-B545. N-B540 is relatively rare…

  • III. Béla király csontjainak tanúsága – Az Árpád-ház eredete

Open Access•Zsolt Bernert, Tibor Fehér et al.•ARTICLE•Anthropologiai Közlemények•2018

The role of applications based on machine learning is continuously growing in the industry, health sector/bioinformatics and scientific research. American researchers published a bit more than 10 years ago the first machine learning algorithms, which were able to safely predict Y-SNP based haplogroups from Y-STR data. The goal of the present study was to predict with machine learning algorithms the SNP-based subgroup of three ancient DNA samples …

  • Új filogenetikai mértékek és alkalmazásuk – Új nézőpontok a magyarok korai története kapcsán

Open Access•Endre Németh, Veronika Csáky et al.•ARTICLE•Anthropologiai Közlemények•2017

The early Hungarian history is short of information and almost lack of relevant historical sources. Thus, linguists and archeologists played the most important role in founding the bases of the early Hungarian history. First of all, the linguists proved that the Hungarian language belongs to Ugric branch of Uralic language family. The other Ugric subgroup, the Ob-Ugrians are living in Western-Siberia, but there is a debate when and where the disj…

    Open Access•S Suter, Susanne K Suter et al.•ARTICLE•American Journal of Physical…•2008•Cited by: 4•References: 16

Arrest in long bone growth and the subsequent resumption of growth may be visible as radiopaque transverse lines in radiographs (Harris lines, HL; Harris, HA. 1933. Bone growth in health and disease. London: Oxford University Press). The assessment of individual age at occurrence of such lines, as part of paleopathological skeletal studies, is time‐consuming and shows large intra‐ and interobserver variability. Thus, a standardized, automated det…
