  • Innovative Social Media Summit

Marta Pérez, Marta J Perez et al.•ARTICLE•Academic Medicine•2022

PROBLEM: Physicians' voices are valued in society and should be present in mainstream social media where they can provide valuable public health messaging and patient education as well as increase opportunities for medical education, mentoring, and collaboration. However, lack of formal education on effective use of social media prevents many physicians from using it. APPROACH: The authors developed a physician-led social media training program t…

Open Access•Iñigo Olalde, Swapan Mallick et al.•ARTICLE•Science•2019

Genomics of the Iberian Peninsula Ancient DNA studies have begun to help us understand the genetic history and movements of people across the globe. • On politics and precarity in academia

    Open Access•David Loher, Strasser et al.•ARTICLE•Social Anthropology•2019•Cited by: 11•References: 10

The terror of the neoliberal markets and the terror of politics both threaten academic freedom - sometimes subtly, sometimes more openly. In this Forum, we ask our contributors to reflect on the entanglements between economy and politics and how they contribute to the ongoing precaritisation in academia, how they shape individual researchers' biographies and how they influence academic research. But more importantly, beyond analysis, this Forum a…

  • La insostenibilidad de la Universidad pública neoliberal

    Open Access•Marta Pérez, A Montoya•ARTICLE•Disparidades. Revista de…•2018•Cited by: 13•References: 6

  • The Value of Open Access in Anthropology and Beyond

Open Access•Grégory Dallemagne, Víctor Del Arco et al.•ARTICLE•Anthropology in Action•2015

This commentary seeks to engage the issue of 'impact' in social anthropology by scrutinising the topic of open access. Drawing on the discussions that took place at the international conference 'FAQs about Open Access: The Political Economy of Knowledge in Anthropology and Beyond', held in October 2014 in Madrid, we suggest that addressing the topic of open access allows a two-fold goal. On one hand, it elucidates that public debates about open a…

  • Narrar historias, desbordar fronteras

  • Emergency Frames

    Marta Pérez•ARTICLE•Feminist Economics•2012•References: 9

Immigration relief for undocumented migrants in the European Union (EU) increasingly focuses on trafficked and battered women. These measures allow flexibility in responding to concerns related to women's rights issues. This study analyzes the humanitarian clause within Spanish immigration law that concerns undocumented battered women. In Spain, undocumented battered women who accuse their male partners of abuse and win legal cases against them b…
