This text seeks to reflect on the concepts of stress among nurses that work in the Surgical and Intensive Care Centers of a teaching hospital in the State of Paraíba. Qualitative ethnographic research allowed us to perceive that when talking about stress, these professionals mentioned their bodies and bodily manifestations.
