Leukemia risk assessment of exposure to low-levels of benzene based on the linearized multistage model
Objectives To assess leukemia risk in occupational populations exposed to low levels of benzene. Methods Leukemia incidence data from the Chinese Benzene Cohort Study were fitted using the Linearized multistage (LMS) model. Individual benzene exposure levels, urinary S-phenylmercapturic acid (S-PMA) and trans, trans-muconic acid ( t, t -MA) were measured among 98 benzene-exposed workers from factories in China. Subjects were categorized into four…
Testing for Structural Change of Predictive Regression Model to Threshold Predictive Regression Model
This article investigates two test statistics for testing structural changes and thresholds in predictive regression models. The generalized likelihood ratio (GLR) test is proposed for the stationary predictor and the generalized F test is suggested for the persistent predictor. Under the null hypothesis of no structural change and threshold, it is shown that the GLR test statistic converges to a function of a centered Gaussian process, and the g…
Multifrequency-Band Tests for White Noise Under Heteroscedasticity
This article proposes a new family of multifrequency-band tests for the white noise hypothesis by using the maximum overlap discrete wavelet packet transform. At each scale, the proposed multifrequency-band test has the chi-square asymptotic null distribution under mild conditions, which allow the data to be heteroscedastic. Moreover, an automatic multifrequency-band test is further proposed by using a data-driven method to select the scale, and …
