  • Understanding variation in sustainable development goal relationships across spatial scales matters for making consistent priorities

Open Access•Kai Wu, Junze Zhang et al.•ARTICLE•Sustainable Production and…•2026

  • Moderating mechanisms of urban environment and vegetation structure in the cooling effect of urban green space

  • Identification of Potassium‐Rich Faience From Spring and Autumn Period Cemeteries in Shaan'xi Province, China

    Open Access•X Huang, Huang Xiao-juan et al.•ARTICLE•Archaeometry•2026•References: 15

This article presents the results of scientific analyses of 12 potassium‐rich faience beads dating to the Spring & Autumn period from the Liu Jiawa cemetery and Liang Daicun cemetery in Shaan'xi Province by conducting X‐ray fluorescence and SEM‐EDS analyses. The chemical compositions showed that these samples were all potassium‐rich silicate products. The chemical compositions on the surface were different from that in the interparticle glass, wh…

  • Spatiotemporal heterogeneity and driving factors of sustainable development in 286 Chinese cities based on the hybrid weighted comprehensive evaluation model

Open Access•Hongwei Li, Zhongchang Sun et al.•ARTICLE•Sustainable Cities and Society•2025

  • Spatio-temporal changes in the causal interactions among Sustainable Development Goals in China

Open Access•Min Cao, Min Chen et al.•ARTICLE•Humanities and Social Sciences…•2023

Extensive efforts have been dedicated to deciphering the interactions associated with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). However, these developments are hampered by a lack of efficient strategies to avoid beneficial synergies being offset by harmful trade-offs. To fill these gaps, we used causal diagnosis and network analysis methods to construct 1302 directed networks of SDGs for 31 provinces in China from 2000 to 2020. We observed a dramatic…

  • Advances of Satellite Remote Sensing Technology in Earthquake Prediction

Xiangwei Zhao, Shun Pan et al.•ARTICLE•Natural Hazards Review•2021

Earthquakes are one of the most serious types of natural disaster in the world. Intensive research and operative efforts have been focused on earthquake prediction, but the accuracy of early warning systems is limited. Scientific research indicates that there are a series of observable earthquake-related anomalies prior to seismic activities. In earthquake prediction, remote sensing technologies have been applied widely to monitor crustal deforma…

  • The rise of the cosmetic industry in ancient China

    Open Access•B Han, Juang‐Horng Chong et al.•ARTICLE•Archaeometry•2021•Cited by: 5•References: 49

Cosmetics have a long history in China, but their origins remain unclear. Cosmetic industry potentially originated in the Spring and Autumn Period (770–476 bce ), but little is known about the early manufacture and use of cosmetics. The Liujiawa site, located on the southern edge of the Loess Plateau in northern China, was the late capital of the ancient Rui state in the early to mid‐Spring and Autumn Period. During the excavation, a sealed small…

  • Identification of PbO (BaO) faience from an early and middle Warring States period cemetery at Zhaitouhe, northern Shaanxi, China

    Open Access•Y Wang, Yong-Ding Wang et al.•ARTICLE•Archaeometry•2019•Cited by: 3•References: 15

Low‐temperature vitreous materials fluxed with lead (and barium) appeared in the early Warring States period ( c .fifth century bce ) in ancient China. A range of lead vitreous products fluxed with the same agent, including faience/glass beads, glazed pottery and Chinese blue (purple) pigment, were developed subsequently. This study carries out scientific analysis of six vitreous beads unearthed from the Zhaitouhe cemetery site in northern Shaanx…
