Sinope ancient city (modern Sinop) was established as a Milesian colony on Sinop cape where is the northernmost point of Anatolia, in the center of South Black Sea coastal strip. Rich funerary stele collection of Sinop Archeological Museum manifests the existence of stele producing since Archaic Period uninterruptedly. Unfortunately, Sinope stelae have not been published as of yet except first samples dated in Late Archaic and Classical Periods. …
