  • Recovery and Reuse of Spent LiFePO4 Batteries

Xianzhong Qin, Gai Yang et al.•ARTICLE•New Materialisms•2019

Lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) have been widely used in portable electronic devices, such as mobile phones, laptops and other small-sized electrical equipment, and are increasingly demand for large-scale applications Olivine type lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO 4 , LFP) is one of excellent cathode materials for application in large electric vehicles or energy storage facilities with its outstanding safety, good cycling performance, non-toxicity and …

  • Preparation of Micro/Nano-LiFePO4/C Cathode Material for Li-ion Batteries

    Gai Yang, F P Cai et al.•ARTICLE•New Materialisms•2014

LiFePO4/C composite with micro/nano structure was synthesized via controlled crystallization-dry mixing-carbon thermal reduction method. As prepared micro/nano LiFePO4/C composite show both excellent high-rate performance and high tap density as the cathode for lithium ion batteries. The tap density is 1.39 g·cm-3 while the discharge specific capacities of 148.9, 145.3, 143.3 and 132.6mAh·g-1 are achieved at rates of 1 C, 2 C, 5 C and 10 C, respe…

  • Synthesis of Size-controllable LiFePO 4 /C Cathode Material by Controlled Crystallization

    Gai Yang, C Y Jiang et al.•ARTICLE•New Materialisms•2012

The preparation of LiFePO4/C materials with particle size ranging from 10 π m to 100-200nm was attempted by controlled crystallization-carbothermal reaction, which has been experienced as an effective process for mass production of electrode materials. The structure, morphology and electrochemical performance of different materials were carefully characterized. With the decrease of particle size for LiFePO4 powders, the LiFePO4/C composite exhibi…
