A Female Egyptian Statuette in the Museo Arqueológico Nacional, Madrid
In this paper, a silver sculpture that entered the Egyptian collection of the Museo Arqueológico Nacional, Madrid, in 2005 is studied. It is a striding figure on a rectangular base, registered as an image of the Egyptian goddess Khereduankh, and dated to the Ptolemaic Period. In this study, a possible attribution to the goddess Renpetneferet is not ruled out and the results of a metallographic analysis are used to establish a more accurate date o…
Dos falsificaciones ramésidas y una propuesta de clasificación tipológica de las piezas dudosas
The purpose of this paper is to publish the research carried out on two pieces housed in public collections in Madrid, Museo Arqueológico Nacional de Madrid and Museo Cerralbo respectively. Interpreting three Gold Coins from Ancient Egypt and the Ancient Near East at the Museo Casa de la Moneda, Madrid
The aim of this paper is to study three gold coins from the pre-Hellenistic Egypt and Near East, housed in the Museum Casa de la Moneda, Madrid, since 1955. Some novel proposals are made about their iconography and the possible gold sources for the raw material. The first is a Daric, probably coined between the beginning of…

Nuestro trabajo desvela \n…
Beyond Borders
The finding of a possible Barbarian graffito in one of the pylons of the temple of Debod offers the opportunity to review some of the ways in which a hypothetical Blemmyan (or, at least, Barbarian) presence could have taken place in Debod. The cultural implications of the inscription are considered and a reading and a chronology for it are also proposed
